Our Story
Your pregnancy is a story worth honouring — and you deserve care that listens, protects, and empowers you every step of the way.
Hi, I’m Tianna Grayson — a registered midwife, photographer, and founder of Empowered Birth Collective. With experience in supporting families through pregnancy, birth, and beyond, I created this space to offer personalised, compassionate care that honours your unique journey.
I am also a mother of three children, aged 9, 7 and 1, we live with my husband who is a registered nurse. With that in mind, I come with clinical experience but also the journey of motherhood which helps to shape my practice today and stands as a reminder of what good care looks like.
Based in the West Midlands, I provide private midwifery-led support for parents who want continuity, calm, and confidence as they prepare to meet their baby. Whether it’s your first or fifth time, my goal is to ensure you feel informed, respected, and empowered every step of the way.
My background in both healthcare and photography allows me to blend clinical expertise with emotional presence, creating a nurturing environment that supports your mind, body, and heart. Through one-to-one consultations, bespoke birth planning sessions, and flexible memberships, you’ll receive the kind of care that centres you.
Let’s make your pregnancy and birth experience one to remember, for all the right reasons.
Our mission
At Empowered Birth Collective, our mission is to change the way women experience pregnancy, birth, and the early weeks of parenthood by offering care that is personal, compassionate, and grounded in deep respect for every individual’s journey. I believe pregnancy is not simply a sequence of appointments but a profound transformation that deserves space, sensitivity, and support from someone who truly listens.
I’m committed to providing continuity of care that nurtures confidence, reduces overwhelm, and restores a sense of calm to the experience of becoming a parent. Through a thoughtful combination of evidence based midwifery, holistic education, and emotional connection, I guide families with warmth, clarity, and gentle reassurance. This approach goes far beyond information. It is about building a relationship where you feel understood, supported, and empowered to make choices that reflect your values and needs.
I recognise that every pregnancy journey is shaped by past experiences, and for some women this may include moments of fear, uncertainty, or birth trauma. My mission includes creating a safe, nurturing space where these experiences can be acknowledged with kindness. Through mindful conversations, supportive listening, and sensitive guidance, I walk with you as you rebuild trust in your body and your instincts.
Storytelling remains at the heart of what I do. Each pregnancy holds its own narrative, rich with hopes, identity, memory, and meaning. As both a midwife and photographer, I honour these narratives by creating space for families to slow down, reflect, and feel truly witnessed. Your story matters, and it deserves to be held with care.
At Empowered Birth Collective, I stand for empowerment through education, confidence through continuity, and transformation through compassionate, culturally sensitive care. The purpose is simple. I are here to walk beside you, honour your story, and support you in creating a pregnancy and birth experience that feels calm, connected, and uniquely your own.
Frequently asked questions
Who is Empowered Birth Collective for?
For anyone seeking personalised pregnancy support — first-time mums, experienced parents, and birth partners who want to feel confident, informed and prepared.
Do you work alongside NHS care?
Yes! My services complement NHS care. You don’t need to choose between one or the other — you can have both.
What’s included in a consultation?
Each 60-minute session is led by you. We can cover birth preferences, navigating appointments, questions about labour or early parenting, or anything else on your mind.
Do you offer in-person support?
I offer both in-person sessions for West Midlands families and virtual options UK-wide. Some membership tiers include home visits — see Pricing for details.
Are your services just for mums?
Not at all. Birth partners, non-birthing parents, and support people are welcome to be part of the process. Equally if you are yet to become pregnant, you are more than welcome here.
